Biography

José Eduardo Marcondes, MD is an otolaryngologist (ENT) focused on the surgical treatment of nasal obstruction and sleep disorders such as snoring and apnea.

Born in the countryside of São Paulo state, he moved to the city of São Paulo at age 17 to begin his medical studies. After graduating, he settled in São Paulo, where he built a solid career and started a family.

Early in his career, he focused deeply on surgical techniques of the nose and paranasal sinuses. He completed multiple courses and fellowships at renowned institutions, mastering advanced techniques for the treatment of deviated septum, chronic sinusitis, and nasal and paranasal polyps and tumors.

Over more than 20 years of private practice, he observed that a large share of his patients also had sleep-related problems, which had a major impact on their quality of life.

This realization brought a new need and a new challenge: how to truly improve the quality of life of these patients, restoring the energy, vitality, and mental clarity that the sleep disorder had taken from them.

That moment marked the second major stage of his professional development. Understanding the essential role of sleep in our lives became his main goal.

By learning new surgical techniques and incorporating modern technologies into his practice — such as robotic surgery, radiofrequency, and laser — he came to understand that treating sleep disorders went far beyond surgery alone.

Each patient had a specific need. It became necessary to tailor every treatment, combine techniques, select the most appropriate technology for each individual, and bring in other professionals such as speech therapists, dentists, and physical therapists, making the process multidisciplinary, more precise, individualized, and complete.

Throughout his career, Dr. Marcondes has built an approach that combines technical excellence with personalized, multidisciplinary care, always focused on real improvement in his patients’ quality of life. Recognizing that every case requires unique solutions, he has turned his practice into a reference center for the treatment of nasal obstruction and sleep disorders — bringing health, well-being, and the chance to fully enjoy each day to his patients.
