CRM-SP 107.711 · RQE 43.840 · São Paulo
More than 20 years dedicated to the surgical treatment of nasal obstruction and sleep disorders.
Dr. José Eduardo Marcondes is a physician and otolaryngologist (ENT), focused on the surgical treatment of nasal obstruction and sleep disorders such as snoring and apnea.
Born in the countryside of São Paulo state, he moved to the city of São Paulo at age 17 to begin his medical studies. After graduating, he settled in São Paulo, where he built a solid career and started a family.
Early in his career, he focused deeply on surgical techniques of the nose and paranasal sinuses. He completed a range of courses and postgraduate training at renowned institutions, mastering advanced techniques for the treatment of deviated septum, chronic sinusitis, and nasal and paranasal polyps and tumors.
Over more than 20 years of private practice, he observed that a large share of his patients also had sleep-related problems, which had a major impact on their quality of life.
How could he make a difference in the quality of life of these patients, giving them back the energy, the vitality, and the clarity of thought that the sleep disorder had taken from them?
Faced with this, a new need and a new challenge emerged. That moment marked a second major stage in his professional development: understanding the important and fundamental role of sleep in our lives became his main goal.
By learning new surgical techniques and incorporating modern technologies into his repertoire (such as robotic surgery, radiofrequency, and laser), he came to see that treating sleep disorders went far beyond that.
Each patient had a specific need. It was necessary to individualize the treatment, combine techniques, select the most appropriate technology for that person, and bring other professionals (speech-language pathologists, dentists, and physical therapists) into the process, making it multidisciplinary, as well as more precise, individualized, and complete.
Throughout his career, Dr. Marcondes has built an approach that combines technique with personalized, multidisciplinary care, focused on his patients’ quality of life, dedicating his practice to the treatment of nasal obstruction and sleep disorders, and offering the individual assessment that each case deserves.
